Estimate tank litres and how many tanker fills

You do not need a lab certificate to plan a water-tanker drop in Riyadh. You need a planning figure: length × width × height in metres, then × 1000 for litres. In the market, 1 ton is treated as about 1000 litres. That is a planning rule, not a calibration stamp. Use it to choose a six, 12, 18 or 32-ton drop — then confirm access on fleet.

Rectangle tank (most villa ground tanks)

Litres ≈ length × width × usable height × 1000. Example: 3 m × 2 m × 1.5 m ≈ 9,000 litres ≈ a planning 9 tons. You rarely fill to the absolute rim, so a six plus a top-up, or one 12-ton drop if the street allows, is the practical conversation — not a promise that 9,000 litres will be delivered to the millilitre.

Cylinder tank

Litres ≈ π × r² × height × 1000 (π ≈ 3.14, r in metres). If you only have diameter, r is half of that. Same rule: usable height, not the decorative lid.

Match litres to a tanker size

Planning litres Size to discuss
Up to about 6,000 L 6-ton six — see when a six is enough
About 9,000–12,000 L 12 tons, or a six and a second trip if the alley is tight
About 15,000–18,000 L 18 tons if the entrance can take a longer truck
High daily use on a truck road 32 tons after gate and turning are confirmed

Drinking vs service water still comes first

Litres do not choose the type. A drinking tank takes drinking water. Irrigation and construction take service water. Read the difference before you send the request.

What to write on the form

  1. Your planning litres, or the three dimensions.
  2. Water type.
  3. District or pin.
  4. Whether the street can take the size you think you need.

We quote after those facts. There is no public “price per litre” that fits every Riyadh pin — see what drives tanker price.

Send dimensions or planning litres, type and district. We match a size after access.

Common questions

Is 1 ton exactly 1000 litres?

It is the market planning figure we use with you. It is not a laboratory certificate on the tanker.

Should I empty the tank before a fill?

Say how full it already is. A “full 18-ton request” into a half-full 9,000 L tank wastes a trip.

What if I only know the tank is “big”?

Send a photo and the district. We would rather ask than send 32 tons into an alley.

Last reminder

Measure, convert to litres, pick a size that can enter, then request. Formulas here are planning maths, not a published capacity certificate. Call 0568739666 if the shape is irregular.
