Can a 32-ton water tanker access your site
Operations guides — TIMDAD
Can a 32-ton water tanker access your site?
A 32-ton tanker is the largest size we run in Riyadh. It is the right call for high daily volume on a site that can take a long truck: a wide gate, room to turn, and a stand that does not choke the street. It is the wrong call in a residential alley, under a low canopy, or on a tight reverse. Access comes before tonnage. See fleet.
What 32 tons actually needs
- A truck gate or an opening wider than a villa door.
- A turning yard or a street that can hold a reverse without hitting parked cars.
- Clear height — no low wires, canopies or temporary sheds on the approach.
- A stand next to the tank or a hose path that does not cross a live lane for long.
When 32 tons is the right size
| Site pattern | Why 32 tons fits |
|---|---|
| Open construction yard, truck road | High daily use; one drop beats a chain of 18-ton runs |
| Plant, camp or large rest house with a yard | Volume and access line up |
| Documented project supply with a schedule | Size is locked after the first site check — see Our work |
When 32 tons will not enter
If the last 200 metres are an alley with cars on both sides, do not request 32 tons. A six or 12 tons will finish the job. If you are unsure, send a photo of the gate and the last turn with the request. We would rather drop size than send a truck that cannot stand.
32 tons is not “faster water”
A larger tanker does not skip traffic or a locked gate. It only carries more litres per trip. Night windows, security checks and waiting still apply. Price still follows district, type, timing and wait — see what drives tanker price.
Drinking vs service water at 32 tons
Type does not change because the tank is large. A 32-ton drinking load goes only to a drinking tank. A 32-ton service load is for irrigation or construction. Read drinking vs service water if the site mixes both.
If 32 tons cannot enter
We move to 18 tons or a six and, if needed, more than one trip. That is still cheaper than a cancelled 32-ton run. For companies, lock the size after the first visit on a contract schedule.
Send a gate photo, last-turn note, water type and district before you lock 32 tons.
Common questions
Can 32 tons enter a normal villa street?
Usually no. Villa streets and alleys are a six or 12 tons. Ask only if you have a real truck gate and a turning space.
Is 32 tons always cheaper per litre?
Not if it cannot stand, waits, or has to leave empty. Access first, then volume.
How does this sit next to 18 tons?
Read when you need 18 tons if the yard is mid-size. Use 32 tons when daily volume and the truck road both exist.
A site check we actually use
Before we lock 32 tons we want: gate width in words or a photo, whether a trailer can reverse, and who opens the site. If the answer is “maybe”, we do not send 32 tons on the first drop. We send 18 tons or we visit. That is how documented supply operations stay on schedule — including large public sites such as work around King Salman Park — without claiming we built those projects.
Last reminder
32 tons is a volume tool, not a status badge. If the street cannot take it, say so early. Request the size after access, or call 0568739666 with a photo. We confirm after site facts, not from a banner that says “32-ton tanker Riyadh” for every pin.
